When a workspace member creates a new project, Forge now automatically assigns that user as Project Manager for the project so they immediately receive the correct project-level access.
Forge Platform v03072026118 - Task Preview Polish and Matrix Layout Control
This release improves the daily project workflow by making project ownership safer, task previews easier to use, and Project Hub matrix layouts cleaner for normal reading
This release improves the daily project workflow by making project ownership safer, task previews easier to use, and Project Hub matrix layouts cleaner for normal reading. It also continues the push toward more personalized workspace/project organization without adding friction for active users.
Added
The Project Hub matrix now has a cleaner read mode where projects can be viewed without layout customization controls constantly taking screen space.
Changed
Project creation now better preserves the creator’s ownership context, reducing cases where a user creates a project but cannot fully manage or access it afterward.
Task preview actions are now easier to discover from the header area, making the preview panel more useful on medium and large screens.
Drag-and-drop layout controls and matrix settings are now separated from the normal viewing experience and only shown when layout customization is enabled.
The Project Hub experience is now more focused: users can read and navigate their matrix normally, then intentionally switch into customization mode when they want to reorganize it.
Fixed
The “View Full Task” action was moved into a more visible area of the task preview so it is no longer hidden behind the bottom taskbar or only visible after interactions like adding comments.
Matrix organization is now less prone to accidental drag-and-drop changes while users are simply browsing projects.
